The Country Dog Gentlemen Explore New Worlds!

At the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s most recent Free Family Day, Night Kitchen unveiled two new additions to the Country Dog Gentlemen Kiosk and Website. Now, web and museum visitors can travel to the extraordinary worlds of Robert Rauschenberg and Joseph Stella through imaginative storytelling and engaging interactive activities. Visitors young and old can create found-object "Combines" inspired by Rauschenberg’s Collection, or compose a symphony by exploring the spaces of Stella’s Bridge.

Since its launch in the Spring of 2009, the Country Dog Gentlemen interactive has enjoyed great success. The award-winning project, a collaboration with the SFMOMA, encourages children and their families to explore modern art in fun, exciting ways. In the interactive activities, visitors have the opportunity to make their own work of art and save it to the Dogs’ Best Friends Gallery, which has to date collected over 3500 visitor-generated works.
