With CBOL’s content management and community building needs in mind, Night Kitchen Interactive completed a thorough discovery and planning process that entailed an assessment of CBOL’s existing network of sites, end-user focus group discussions, and workshops with partner organizations such as the University of Guelph in Canada, the Encyclopedia of Life (EOL), the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF), and the Barcode of Life Initiative (BOLI).
At the conclusion of this discovery phase, we delivered a Recommendations Report that is now being used for CBOL’s strategic planning. The team is currently preparing for CBOL’s Third International Barcode of Life Conference in Mexico City on November 2009, in which David Schindel, CBOL’s Executive Secretary, will share initial plans for the website redesign. Matthew Fisher, President of Night Kitchen Interactive, will also conduct a workshop on CBOL’s new social networking site.
