Inspiration

Penn Museum wanted to develop an online exhibit to complement its traveling exhibition, Surviving: The Body of Evidence—a highly interactive exhibit that traces the last 7 million years of human development.

Narration

Drawing on the exhibit materials, Night Kitchen created an interactive tour of the fun and fascinating ways evolution has shaped who we are today. Headlined with intriguing topics such as “We Keep Evolving”, “Finding Our Human Ancestors”, “We Are Not Perfect”, and “Witnessing Evolution,” the website transforms this complex topic into a compelling experience for a wide range of audiences.

Design

Offering a variety of entry-points, Night Kitchen Interactive’s design allows visitors to navigate through a timeline of human ancestry, watch documentary-style videos, encounter Darwin and other revolutionary scientists, and even get a glimpse of how the world looks through the eyes of a dog or chimpanzee.

Interaction

The online exhibit showcases the traveling exhibit by enticing online and museum visitors to uncover the evidence of our ongoing evolutionary journey.
