Night Kitchen Interactive is currently working with the Historical Society of Pennsylvania to create PhilaPlace, a community-based website that will illuminate the history and culture of Philadelphia’s unique neighborhoods. The website will showcase the HSP’s vast collections, as well as contributed content from collaborators and the general public. Night Kitchen Interactive’s unique solution includes the integration of CollectiveAccess, an open-source collections management system, and GoogleMaps. Through this innovative platform, visitors will be able to contribute their own stories, create custom tours, and explore the HSP’s collections through a map interface. Target launch is Fall 2009.
