Philadelphia, PA - February 18, 2008 - Matthew Fisher, President of Night Kitchen Interactive, an award-winning design firm based in Philadelphia, has been named to the Advisory Board of the Rosenbach Museum & Library, a Philadelphia landmark noted for its exceptional collection of rare books, manuscripts, art, and 18th- and 19th-century British and American furniture.
Since 1997, Matthew Fisher has served as President and Lead Interactive Designer for Night Kitchen Interactive. Fisher lectures and consults regularly on the use of interactive storytelling and online communities to build audiences and support innovation in non-profit arts and cultural organizations.
Over the past few years, Fisher has worked with the Rosenbach on several occasions, creating digital versions of Sebastienne Mundheim’s theatrical piece "A Potable Joyce," as well as an online exhibit created ‘by and for kids’ entitled Franklin Remixed during the tercentenary of Franklin’s birth last winter.
Fisher serves on the board of the Philadelphia Area New Media Association and the professional advisory committee of the Art Institute of Philadelphia. He is a graduate of Vassar College.
The Rosenbach’s Board of Trustees created the Advisory Council in 2006, through which it aims to secure the assistance of persons "whose exceptional experience and knowledge is relevant to, and whose interests are sympathetic to the purpose and mission of" the Rosenbach. Advisory Council members may attend meetings of the Board of Trustees, but are not technically members of that governing body and do not vote.
