Employee Spotlight: Sean McBrearty

This year we’ll be introducing you to members of the Night Kitchen team — folks who are often behind-the-scenes, yet play an integral role in the continued success of Night Kitchen Interactive. So starting us off is… Sean McBrearty, Night Kitchen’s Information Designer (a.k.a. "Rock of Gibraltar" for his unflappable demeanor in tackling the most complex ID challenges).

Over the past four years with Night Kitchen, Sean has drawn on the concepts of user-centered design to create frameworks for numerous websites and exhibits. A graduate of Temple University’s Film and Media Arts program, Sean possesses an adept understanding of the Night Kitchen fundamentals in narration and interaction.

Highlights of Sean’s experience at Night Kitchen include managing several projects, including the Art of Storytelling with the Delaware Art Museum, Surviving: The Body of Evidence with the Penn Museum of Archeology and Anthropology, and the Star-Spangled Banner with the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. He is currently the project manager for the website redesign project with Carnegie Museum of Art.

Here are his responses to how his interests align with Night Kitchen’s design approach:
