Design

  • My inspiration in design comes from the artists whom I love: Marcel Duchamp with his epic The Large Glass, 1915-23, Painter Egon Schiele’s Umarmung, 1917, Photographer Man Ray’s Tears, 1932.
  • I am not so high brow as all that, as I also love the long running comic strip by Winsor McCay, Little Nemo in Slumberland, 1905 – 1911, and the graphic novels of Frank Miller and Alan Moore.

President

Matthew brings a strong combination of interactive design and creative marketing experience to Night Kitchen Interactive. As President, he oversees business development and acts as the Lead Interactive Designer. After receiving his BA in film from Vassar College, Matthew worked for a number of years in radio and recording label marketing and management. In 1994, he began consulting with leading interactive firms, developing rich-media presentations for PepsiCo, ESPN, and IBM. He co-founded Night Kitchen Interactive in 1997, where he has produced educational interactives and online exhibits such as Explore Kilauea Volcano, The Mystery Museum, and The Splendor of 18th Century Rome. Matthew is on the Advisory Board of the Rosenbach Museum and Library, the Board of Directors for The Philadelphia Area New Media Association (PANMA) and lectures at conferences and area universities such as the University of the Arts and Temple University.
