The Preparing for the Oath interactive website was created in partnership with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History (NMAH), to provide an engaging and participatory means to prepare for the U.S. Citizenship Test by exploring civics and American history.

Project: Three Online Exhibits Explore Slavery at Jefferson’s Monticello

Three online exhibits interpret plantation slavery at Monticello—the home of Thomas Jefferson and his family, as well as enslaved individuals, hired workers, and indentured servants. Drawing on oral history interviews, archaeological evidence, and historical research, these websites present 3D renderings of buildings, interactive maps, dynamically linked profiles of the individuals who lived and worked at Monticello, and family trees of their relatives and descendants, engaging visitors in paradoxical issues of slavery and liberty.

Teenie Harris Website and Online Interactive

Night Kitchen Interactive partnered with the Carnegie Museum of Art to create the companion website and online interactive for the exhibition Teenie Harris, Photographer: An American Story. The site details the life and career of Pittsburgh photographer Charles “Teenie” Harris, and features an interactive experience that enables visitors to browse the nearly 1,000 photographs featured in the exhibition.

Night Kitchen Interactive has developed the timeline as a companion to the traveling exhibition, Discovering the Real George Washington: A View from Mount Vernon.

UMMA DialogTable Movies

Employing a collaborative storytelling approach, Night Kitchen Interactive developed 32 short movies for the museum’s DialogTable installation, bringing together a wide range of voices in a thought-provoking, creative manner. In addition, a companion website was developed to integrate social media into this special exhibit.
