Night Kitchen recently developed a suite of iPad interactive kiosks for the Krannert Art Museum at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in conjunction with the re-opening of their African art gallery. The iPads feature videos that combine historical and contemporary narratives in order to reveal a complex and nuanced history of African art objects appropriated and reinterpreted over time.

City Stories, an interactive orientation gallery, introduces visitors to the newly-renovated museum through a compelling mix of historical artifacts, insightful narratives, and local stories of everyday Philadelphians.

Three online exhibits interpret plantation slavery at Monticello—the home of Thomas Jefferson and his family, as well as enslaved individuals, hired workers, and indentured servants. Drawing on oral history interviews, archaeological evidence, and historical research, these websites present 3D renderings of buildings, interactive maps, dynamically linked profiles of the individuals who lived and worked at Monticello, and family trees of their relatives and descendants, engaging visitors in paradoxical issues of slavery and liberty.
