Night Kitchen recently developed a suite of iPad interactive kiosks for the Krannert Art Museum at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in conjunction with the re-opening of their African art gallery. The iPads feature videos that combine historical and contemporary narratives in order to reveal a complex and nuanced history of African art objects appropriated and reinterpreted over time.

Project: Teenie Harris Website & Interactive

Night Kitchen Interactive partnered with the Carnegie Museum of Art to create the companion website and online interactive for the exhibition Teenie Harris, Photographer: An American Story. The site details the life and career of Pittsburgh photographer Charles “Teenie” Harris, and features an interactive experience that enables visitors to browse the nearly 1,000 photographs featured in the exhibition.

The Country Dog Gentlemen are on the move once again, encouraging visitors to see and think about art from a fun, insightful, and exploratory perspective through a mobile gallery game.

Employing a collaborative storytelling approach, Night Kitchen Interactive developed 32 short movies for the museum’s DialogTable installation, bringing together a wide range of voices in a thought-provoking, creative manner. In addition, a companion website was developed to integrate social media into this special exhibit.

Inspired by Roy De Forest’s iconic painting, Country Dog Gentlemen the playful animations and lively interactives for SFMOMA’s touch-screen kiosks encourage visitors to engage with art and allow them to create their own original works to submit to an every growing collection on the museum’s website.
