- The Places and Stories that Matter – Chaired by Joan Saverino, the Historical Society of Pennsylvania’s Assistant Director of Education, Matthew will discuss the technological challenges and innovative solutions involved in designing the PhilaPlace website. He’ll be joined by Minda Borun, Director of Research and Evaluation for The Franklin and Marci Reaven, the Managing Director of City Lore.

- Museum as Platform: Envisioning Visitors as Creators and Contributors – Matthew will discuss best practices for producing participatory online projects. He’ll open up a discussion on how museums can create a sustainable, ongoing dialogue with their audiences using Web 2.0 tools. Danielle Rice, Executive Director of the Delaware Art Museum will chair the panel discussion. Additional panelists will include Effie Kapsalis, Senior Digital Producer at the Smithsonian Photography Initiative and Bill Adair, Director of the Heritage Philadelphia Program for The Pew Charitable Trusts.
